About Stupid Economics

StupidEconomics is the blog of Manuel Oñate, a Civil Engineer living in Madrid (Spain).

Manuel has always been fascinated with the extents of human stupidity understood as the ability that all of us have to do things that harm ourselves as well as inocent by-standers.

This blog focuses on the definition of stupidity that has a negative impact on others. Personally inflicted self harm is subjective and in reality only concerns the person involved. You might feel sorry for the people that hurt themselves (according to your view), but usually there is very little you can do about it.

The real problem lies in affecting negatively other people, specially if the person or persons causing the harm do not personally profit from it.
